Siow Mei's Incredible HypnoBirthing Story
Story started from my first baby.
All these while, I believe and I am very certain that every mother can deliver baby naturally. But, I was unable to do so for my first baby.
When I recall my first delivery process - my baby was so called didn't "engage" to the right position. After 8 hours of contraction, doctor advice for oxytocic (to augment the labor). As a first-time-mommy, we took the doctor's advice. (Wouldn’t you? I was thinking maybe my case is complicated?) But I had no time to give it more thoughts so I went through another 4 hours of contractions.
The doctor came in again and said my baby's condition was very unlikely to have natural birth and advised me to go for c-sec. Hmmm, with the pain, and a combination of all factors, I agreed and my first baby was born via a caesarean.
Thus, when I confirm I am pregnant again, I have NO second thoughts. I decided for another caesarean. Why? Mainly to ease the process, and I was thinking since I already have the scar, why not just do it at the same place.
*_^ simple reason

Incredible things happened!
I am blessed that my baby like to keep giving me different kind of signs to hint to her mommy for a different birth.
A: "Why don't you try virginal birth?"
B: "If I can, you can too!"
C: "Hey, I suggest you to attend prenatal course"
D: "You should try it, all women should gone thru the process"
E: "God gifted nature, you can do it."
All kind of good suggestions from people after seeing that I simply answered that I want go for caesarean. ^_^lll
Yes. I am blessed. God brings me good people.
I started to have another thoughts when I chit chat with my Australian friend about the common practice of Water-Birth there. I am just curious and I begin to discover that there are few types of birth rather than just caesarean or virginal birth. (Blur me…☺️)
You know what?
Week 34, by coincidence, I read an article about HypnoBirthing again.
Everything just happened with Law of Attractions. I got Wai Han’s number during the process of "googling" and she shared with me about HypnoBirthing (we don’t know each other but she used to be a practitioner) and she referred to me a HypnoBirthing practitioner & educator Bee Ting Ng.

I met Bee Ting at Week 35. She passed me the textbook and CD. Due to time constraint, (as I am very close to my EDD, I started to self-practice by reading the book and listening to CD. I know that I am unable to complete the classes conducted by Bee Ting. She told me that actually HypnoBirthing is all about mindset and a calm, peaceful heart.
The second time I met up with Bee Ting was in the morning of Week 38 – 39. And, I told her my six-sense tells me I am going to give birth today.
But I still have yet to finish reading the book so Bee Ting taught me basic breathing skills and birth positions.
After my lunch, I started to feel that the surges become more and more frequent. I feel like "Is it time?"
But, that night (30 April 2016), I need to attend a launching session.
You know what, amazing things happened again!
I told my baby to hold on, let mommy finished attend the soft-launching of our new product. I attended the launching session and even finished my Zumba session (by moving hands only la…haha).
The surges came again at 11 pm when we are on the way back home. At 11.30 pm, I take a shower and then sit on my gym ball with Rainbow Relaxation.
I just practise the breathing skills and relax. And I fall sleep with the music. I wake up at 3 am when the surges became stronger.
I know it is almost time to welcome our new family members. I get myself ready, camera, tripod, book, etc. I am just too excited as I am going to try my best for a totally drug-free Hypno-Birth.

Gonna Be Incredible!
4 am we arrived hospital and I continued with my gym ball. We dimmed the lights and listened to the Rainbow Relaxation CD while waiting for the doctor. One good things about Hypnobirthing is that the nurses did not come in to disturb and it was totally mommy-friendly. We started taking selfie and text our family about my status. Then, I turned my phone on flight mode.
7.30am I had wantan mee for breakfast! 😜😝😋 Right after my breakfast, I informed the nurse to call the doctor. I kept myself focused on the breathing
and calmed myself with Rainbow Relaxation until the arrival of the doctor. (Hmmm, it’s Sunday cum Public Holiday, so the doctor took some time to arrive) In my heart I was like "Oh-My-God, breath-breath, don’t think too much…"
Focus and focus!
I have a great companion. He guided me calmly and patiently. Really should give him a round of applause!!!
God Blessed. I gave birth just right after doctor arrived 15 minutes.
My Labour-Day baby was born!
