Sammi's Unplanned VBAC
I gave birth at my hometown, Kedah. I planned for csec on Monday 28 Sept, 2020 (38w6d) because of the covid, we try not to travel much . Initially we wanted for natural birth but due to many reasons, we finally planed for csec.
My last checkup (on Saturday morning) , the doctor said my baby was not engaged yet and only about 2/5 the head is inside. It made me worry whether I can go for natural birth because in the morning, the doctor just said baby was not engaged and birth won't happen so soon.
But surges started on Saturday night. I went to the hospital at 3am and baby was born at 5am, Sunday 27 Sept.
I always believed it is baby's choice.
This is unplanned natural birth. I didn't manage to discuss birth plan with doctor.
My husband requested not to do episiotomy but doctor refused. Overall it was a smooth birth process. My cervix dilated very fast until I couldn't think of anything.
The breathing methods do help to reduce the pain. And I remember you taught us how to 'push' (follow surges to breath) . Thanks TC for the guidance. HypnoBirthing is really helpful.
