My boy was delivered on week 39 where was 1 week earlier than EDD.
During my check up on week 39, my baby's estimated weight was 3kg. The doctor did a vaginal check and found the cervix already dilated 2cm although I didn't feel contractions yet. Doctor was asking if I was ready to deliver and I told doctor I wished to wait until baby was ready to come out naturally.

Doctor did a sweep on my cervix during vaginal check at 5pm. After check up I went home for dinner and rested. 7pm I realised there was some blood stain on my panty and started to have some period cramp signal. Contractions started about 11pm which was very mild and no water broke. I thought maybe it’s time and I started to pack my luggage and grab some time to sleep. 3am the contractions came every half an hour and I still wished to wait and rest at home. 5am I took my hot shower, washed my hair and woke my husband up and asked him to send me to the hospital because I think it’s about time. (I was also worried about traffic jam in the morning at LDP highway because it was a working day. ) Reached the hospital at 6.30am and I was being sent to the labor room immediately and only dilated 3cm.
I requested the nurse to dim the lights so that I could rest in the labor room while waiting. My husband brought some snacks, laptop and played the rainbow relaxation track in the labor room. Every time there was a contraction, I would walk or sit on the gym ball. The contraction came only twice per 10 mins.
After 15 hours (at 7pm) water only broke when nurse doing 2nd vaginal check. That time I was only dilated 7cm. No epidural and drip was taken but I requested the nurse to give me some laughing gas and drinking water to reduce the pain and hasten the dilation.
7pm, contraction came more frequent about 4 times per 10 mins. Doctor came at 8.30pm to check on me. 9.15pm baby was safe delivered with no episiotomy.
The whole journey took 18 hours in a very calm atmosphere with no epidural, no drips and no episiotomy. I kept on drinking water and finished 1.5 liter of water during labor. The happiest thing was my husband managed to cut the baby cord and accompanied me for the whole journey.
I could start walking and going to the toilet 1 hour after delivery and baby's condition was good and did breast crawl and skin to skin for 30 mins and had his very 1st milk by breastfeeding.
HypnoBirthing is really amazing!!
