Erica's HypnoBirth Second Time Round
Done my HypnoBirthing (The Mongan Method) class with Bee Ting when I had Cadence but I was too scared to 'perform' my gentle birth. Ended up with the super numb and scary epidural which I really regretted with.
With Rickson, I had just 2 calls of instant revision with Bee Ting. She boosted my confidence to give a good try and no regret in my attempts. She even offered to be with me if I needed her provided the timing is right ( she has a really tight schedule).
I was at last calm enough in all my breathing techniques before my Gynae came. I can still recall how my baby engaged and at the right moments of both of us working hard together and have him arrived to be with us.
Rickson is very alert baby.
Girls, worth to give it a try :)
Thank you Bee Ting ;)

Read my short birth story below:
4.30 am Birth show - sign of blood stain.
5.30 am More birth show but no surges yet.
6.30 am Noticed mucus plug dropped, decided to shower and go to hospital (to avoid traffic jam)
7.30 am Arrived hospital & registered in delivery ward. I was busy keeping everyone informed about my status - family, friends, fb, office and my very important HypnoBirthing instructor, Bee Ting.
8.30 am Midwife's first check on me is 4-5 cm dilated, membrane ruptured. I informed midwife about my gentle birthing plan. She is happily to leave us in the ward by dimming the lighting. I walked around for an hour in between surges while breathing through them with my gentle music in the background. My husband did light touch massage (learnt in HypnoBirthing class) on my back to ease my pain. A warm compress pack was essential for easing the surges and feeling relaxed and calm by just putting it at my back while laying down on bed sometimes.
10.30 am Monitoring baby's heartbeat for 1 hour. I told midwife I felt the urge and felt better by pushing so she checked me again. It was 9 to 9.5 cm dilated! Then I experienced the hallmark of labor and requested for painkillers but the midwife discouraged as baby's heartbeat dropped. It would be dangerous for the baby at this late stage as it would slow down the natural intensity & pressure. She assured me that both baby and mommy will soon meet up after a few gentle pushes.
Finally, I met my very energetic alert baby by 11.54 am, after a few pushes and a final long push. He can really cry loudly.
